Our Societies

Golf societies are very welcome Monday to Friday with a very full and comprehensive list of packages. With Upchurch River Valley being built on high ground overlooking the River Medway, what better location. With the underlying strata of chalk over laid with a sandy loam, what better drainage could you wish for, allowing us to be open when other courses are closed.

The company policy has always been to spoil our visiting societies. Golf societies are, after all, a large part of our business.

We hold a special thank you day on the first Wednesday in November each year to say our personal thanks to the organisers, a completely free day by invitation.

Golf society rules

  • Golf shoes, soft spike only and set of clubs are compulsory
  • Notice must be given no less than 8 working days by telephone of the final numbers of those who will be participating and dine in your society day.
  • Societies are accepted on weekdays only (except Bank holidays)
  • A minimum of 12 players must take part
  • A reasonable standard of dress is required - i.e. no jeans, no trainers, no collarless shirts for golf and smart casual dress for the evening meal
  • Those participating must observe the rules of etiquette laid down by URVGC Ltd
